Floki Inu (FLOKI) coin price prediction 2025. Is it just another memecoin?

Over the past week, London residents have been seeing various adverts about Floki Inu (FLOKI) on buses and train stations. The aggressive ad campaign was successful as the price of FLOKI soared by over 380% over the past 5 days. In fact, LunarCrush listed FLOKI as one of the top altcoins on Twitter by social and market activity.

Given the success of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu during the year, you may not want to miss another opportunity. If interested, keep reading to learn everything you need to know about this coin.

What is Floki Inu?

The story of Floki Inu starts with Elon Musk doing what he usually does – tweeting. A 25 June tweet from the Doge father stated that the world’s richest person would be getting a Shiba Inu puppy named Floki. This birthed the idea of Floki Inu in order to take advantage of the memecoin surge.

Behind the project is a team including Jackie Xu as the lead developer. Some of the rest include MrBrown Whale, PetaByte Capital, B and Sabre. The project has also teamed up with the Million Gardens Movement that tackles food insecurity around the world. It was co-founded by  Kimbal Musk, Elon Musk’s brother, and Frank Giustra.

How it works

At first, Floki Inu was built on the Ethereum network with the creation of 10 trillion FLOKI tokens. Some of the tokens were distributed by airdrop as a reward to initial buyers through the contract address – 0x43F11C02439E2736800433B4594994BD43CD066D.

But as Binance Smart Chain (BSC) became more popular, FLOKI was added to it too through the contract address – 0x2B3F34E9D4B127797CE6244EA341A83733DDD6E4. Although it exists as both an ERC-20 and BEP-20 token, users can easily switch between the two ecosystems at no fee.

Other than being a memecoin, Floki Inu actually has plans to provide some utility down the road. The first is to donate to charity through the aforementioned Million Gardens Movement, and the second is to be used for real-world transactions.

Through a partnership with CryptoCart, holders of FLOKI can now purchase goods from over 1,700 stores. Once the Curate (XCUR) marketplace is launched, FLOKI will be used there as well. The other utility projects include launching an NFT marketplace (FlokiPlaces), an NFT gaming metaverse and an education platform (Floki Inuversity).

Of the initial 10 trillion tokens created, 9.24 trillion remain in circulation while the rest have been burned. You can buy FLOKI on PancakeSwap or Uniswap as well as Gate.io. It’s yet to be listed on Binance but this might be possible considering how popular it’s becoming on social networks like Twitter and Telegram groups

With every transaction, a 3% tax is charged and sent to the treasury. This money is then used to fund the project as well as marketing such as was the case in last week’s London campaign. There are no fees for transferring FLOKI from Ethereum to BSC and vice versa.

Floki Inu price prediction 2030

The price of Floki Inu has been on the rise pretty much since it was first launched in July as you can see from the price chart above from Poocoin. Much of those gains can be attributed to the popularity of memecoins and general interest in crypto among investors. Given the push by the Floki Inu team to aggressively market the coin, it’s likely there will be even more growth in the future.

Experts now anticipate that the coin could reach $0.001 by 2025 and 0.007 by 2030. Those are modest price predictions, by the way, if the explosion of Shiba Inu and Dogecoin are something to go by. That being said, investors need to be cautious when investing in this coin, at least until it offers some real-world utility.
